To empower human resources and to recognize CNSC personnel who made exemplary performance in their respective tasks, “Gintong Parangal Awards Night” was conducted on September 29, 2017, 7:00PM at the CNSC Social hall, Daet, Camarines Norte. The event culminated the week long Community Week Celeberation.

Awardees were selected from the nominations made by CNSC employees and were screened based on criteria set by the PRAISE committee headed by VPAF Wenifredo T. Oñate with HRMO Martin M. Lukban, Accountant Madelon B. Lee, Record Officer Eloisa R. Lukban, Budget Officer Emma H. Sumaway, Faculty trustee Jesse O. Opeña and Institutional Planning and Development Officer Emmalyn C. Guaves as members. Likewise, loyalty awardees were also identified and recognized during the Gintong Parangal 2017.

In his message College President Dr. Rusty G. Abanto emphasized that human resource is indeed a priority. He believe that when employees are valued, their productivity increases and they are more motivated to work. He pointed out that his administration is determined to invest actively in human resource to sustain the institution’s quality education. He stressed his desire to see change not only in terms of physical facilities and infrastructures but change to embrace the spirit of oneness and keep the happy culture that is already evident among CNSC personnel. He said that even a small contribution will meaningfully make a difference to help CNSCs a dream of universityhood.

Dr. Ruperto S. Sangalang, the former CNSC Board of Trustees Chair now adjunct professor of Cavite State University graced the occasion and his presence made the awarding more memorable. In his short talk he congratulated the College President for his determination and the CNSC employees for their support to administration. According to him, it is apparent that becoming one of the best in Bicol region is gradually being achieved as manifested in accomplishments of the college specifically mentioned was CNSCs performance in engineering board examinations compared to other universities nationwide. He mentioned important points that the administration should continue to work on to achieve globalization, these are good governance, best talents, resources and linkages.

The event is expected to encourage CNSC employees to make more significant involvement and contribute greater impact to the accomplishment of CNSCs vision.
